Efficient resolution.
Workers’ Compensation Mediation is an efficient method for resolving difficult Workers’ Compensation issues. Because mediation is designed to facilitate communication between the parties, it is an excellent way to not only bring the parties together, but also to empower them to resolve their differences by maintaining control over the outcome.
Our skilled team of Workers’ Compensation mediators will help parties clearly identify the issues and develop creative solutions to resolve those issues. During mediation, the parties are separated and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of their cases with the mediator. The mediator helps the parties shape settlement demands and offers, and assists the parties in working toward a mutual agreement.
Workers’ Compensation Mediation can save both sides’ litigation and discovery costs by working to resolve the issues prior to incurring the costs associated with expert depositions, hearing preparation, and possible appeals. Our philosophy is simple: Workers’ Compensation Mediation works.
Over the last year, the COVID-19 pandemic has created a need for Mediation sessions without person-to-person contact. We are able to conduct a Mediation in any form desired by the parties whether it be by telephone conference, videoconference or otherwise. We strive to ensure good communication and comfort for the parties involved in the Mediation process.

Frederick E. Kaiser has always been interested in law and politics––from his college days as an intern for the late Senator Hubert H. Humphrey, to his law school days during which he authored a police manual, to his 26 years as managing attorney for Hartford Insurance Group, to his current position as partner at Hansen Dordell. Fred joined Hansen Dordell in 2002, specializing in personal injury, workers’ compensation, insurance defense, mediation and arbitration. He cites the firm’s enduring reputation for providing quality legal services while maintaining a civil bearing in its practice. “Everyone at Hansen Dordell is a vigorous advocate for their client, making our points without ever forgetting that we are officers of the court and must always be respectful of the people we represent, the people on the bench and our opponents,” he says.
